I put this video up on Facebook recently, explaining why I won’t be sending so many Christmas cards this year.
It’s a very personal message as it concerns a young member of my wider Fox family, who lost her brave battle with a brain tumour earlier this year. She was 17 years old.
Megan’s parents and sister have set up a charity in Megan’s memory (www.meganswishlist.com)to help other children in their local area who face serious health challenges.
They have already raised money through various events and are planning more for 2015, as reported in the Kent Messenger:-
I’ll be taking a quiet moment for reflection at Christmas to remember Megan and my other absent loved ones, and my thoughts go out to all of you who hold a place in your hearts for those who are no longer physically present.
