What Are The Three Principles?
The Three Principles of Mind, Thought and Consciousness form the foundation of all human experience.
We are all connected to the universal source of creation, which continuosly flows through us as thought and instanteneously gives us our own unique felt experience of reality via consciousness, moment to moment to moment.
The Three Principles are not a belief system, they are neutral and impersonal. (Like gravity, they are a universal principle – we don’t have to “do” them just like we don’t have to “do” gravity).
These innate gifts are what we use to generate our reality, moment to moment through the power of thought.
The insightful realisation that we create our experience from the Inside-Out is at the heart of understanding the Three Principles and it frees us from the usual misunderstanding of life happening TO us from the Outside-In.
In other words, we are always and only living 100% in our experience of thought in the moment.
It was the extra-ordinary and profound insight experienced by the late Sydney Banks, which revealed to him the nature of thought. This ordinary, working man dedicated the rest of his life to sharing what he’d seen in a down-to-earth way that both professional psychiatrists and psychologists and lay people could understand.
Whilst the wisdom of which he spoke has been documented in various forms throughout the ages, as the Three Principles it is becoming accessible to everyone.
Three Principles Practitioners, Trainers and Facilitators now take this understanding into jails and probation services, mental health Practices, schools, disadvantaged communities, the Health services, businesses and to individuals.
The results are transformational.
How Can The Three Principles Work For You?
As a Three Principles Trainer I work with you to facilitate insights into the understanding that you are always living in the feeling of your thinking.
In other words…
There’s nothing outside of you which causes you love, pain, harm, insecurity, well being or peace of mind. That always comes from within – however much it may seem it’s the other way around.
And once you get that on an experiential level rather than an intellectual level, your whole world will transform – forever.
You will know, deeply and totally know, that nothing outside you can harm you and nothing outside can help you.
The real “you”, not the ego based you, is always and forever OK, no matter what.
You are a spiritual being having a human experience, not the other way around.
And it’s the same for everyone on the planet – we are all the same – we’re all in this together!
We all work from the same template – Mind, Consciousness and Thought.
Whatever our race, colour, creed, circumstances, wealth, poverty, sickness, health etc we are all made up of the same 3 components.
The universal energy of Mind connects us all, Thought forms our reality and Consciousness gives us the experience of living through our feelings.
They form our opinions, observations, prejudices, experiences. They shape our life.
And our feelings are the reflection of the thought we’re having at the time.
Whatever mood we’re in, it’s a good indication of the quality of our thoughts! A built in thermometer going up and down as we ride the roller coaster of our humanness.
And believe you me, when we’re caught up in the trap of our thoughts boy do they seem real!
They produce stories, tell us we’re lacking something or someone to make our life complete, make other people wrong and us right, confirm our belief system is the ONE and create tension and disharmony, start riots and when taken to the extreme, kill people and destroy hope.
They make us look for distractions to heal our pain – alcohol, sex, drugs, shopping, crime – whatever we hope is the panacea for the disturbance to our equilibrium.
All because we believe someone or something “out there” is responsible for the way we’re feeling and the circumstances we find ourselves in.
It’s time to turn it around – time to understand the Three Principles for what they are – the source of our peace of mind and well-being, always and forever.
There’s nothing we need to “fix”, all we need is to insightfully understand how the system works and just be with it.
As Bill Hicks said “it’s just a ride”.
Actually yes, surprisingly simple- but profoundly and utterly transformational…
- Now I’m not talking about positive thinking here. That’s just another “fixing” method which may make us feel good for a moment, but is really only papering over the cracks and emphasising the belief that we’re not already OK.
- I’m not talking about goal-setting as a means to achieving lasting happiness (the “I’ll be happy when” syndrome)
- Life is an on-going experience not a destination, we’re not “end gaining” while we’re here, so let’s live each moment and revel in its opportunity.
Being in the “now” means not living out of a past experience or an imagined future one. It’s being in the present moment, because that is all there is.
Sydney Banks said “Life is a contact sport” – who are we to expect it to be easy all the time?
The key is our understanding of how life works, so that when we get caught up in thought – which we do all the time – we know what’s going on and that good or bad, it will pass.
